Within very short notice, the decision to move to Finland to find better opportunities was made, and I moved in the middle of a huge snowstorm at the beginning of winter, November 2016. I instantly thought I have made a huge mistake! Growing up in the balmy Texas sun, snow was the last thing I was prepared for.

However, years later and a permanent residence permit later, here I am, loving every second of Finland.

As a designer, I started out at an agency as a web designer, creating websites for the oil industry. Then moving on to creating brand identities for clients. And now designing with products and apps. I am outgoing and constantly find myself volunteering for office activities, hosting pub quizzes, and organizing after-work fun. I am AE certified (!!) and have been part of a Health and Safety Committee. I enjoy designing and I like to be involved. I find not only growth important, but also company culture a very important aspect of my career.
