Yousician: The #1 Music Learning Platform
Redesigning the Yousician site, which included the landing, company page and the blog. The landing and company pages were designed on Wordpress site and I created a custom design for the blog.
At Yousician, there was a need to create a sort of “catalog” that users could search online to see what was available in the app. It was a long project with all kinds of roadblocks, like not being able to use any artist imagery (no album covers, no pictures of artists even if we purchased the photos from Getty).
The site is fully integrated with the app. It calls to the backend and fetches all of the newest songs. On the pages for each song, a script created by one of the engineers at Yousician, creates new in-game preview videos each evening so we have a preview of game play for ALL of our songs, no matter how recently it was released! A few of new features to the site have been designed and are waiting implementation.
I designed the GuitarTuna website along side the project manager for the team. I organized and operated a photoshoot so we could have tuning photos of ALL 15 instruments offered in the app. We needed unique photos that were not available elsewhere, so I took to it and got it done in about 2 days of shooting with my photographer.
What is also unique about the GuitarTuna website is the WebTuna. It’s the only Active Tuner on the internet that gives you feedback in a browser while you tune your guitar. We aimed to mimic the current GuitarTuna branding.
